Jaycob Is Competing for Nationals Today! He needs your prayers!

"Jaycobs team won the Missouri FFA Agronomy STATE championship. There are 4 of them and they outscored all other teams by quite a few points. He is currently (today and tomorrow) competing for the National FFA Agronomy title in Indianapolis. Their team has worked for hundreds of hours in study and practice. Their coach is not one of their teachers but a gentleman from the community who is doing this on a totally volunteer basis. I think they deserve to win. Please remember him (them) in your prayers. It could open up many doors for him." Tresa Wilkins

We are so proud of Jaycob and wish him the best of luck and ask for each of your words of encouragement and support!

Faithful Friends

In the next few days you will have many opportunities to be a friend for Him (Our Savior,Jesus Christ). It may be as you walk on a dusty road. It may be as you sit down in a railroad car. It may be as you look for a place to sit in a Church congregation. If you are watching, you will see someone carrying a heavy burden. It may be a burden of sorrow or loneliness or resentment. It may be visible to you only if you have prayed for the Spirit to give you eyes to see into hearts and have promised to lift up the hands that hang down.

Housing for the Reunion

Matthew and Lanae will be staying with me!

I also have two extra bedrooms and a bathroom available for anyone who is still needing housing for the reunion. (One of the bedrooms is a "baby room" but we could arrange the furniture so there is more floor space to sleep on if you would like.) I live right outside of Bolivar, it is a 15 minute drive from my house to the lodge. I have the same amenities as Terriann does, so see below, if you would like to see what I have to offer (minus the elliptical machine ;) ).
If anyone would like to stay with me during the reunion, just let me know! I would love the company!

Housing during the reunion

FYI - Melissa and Tresa have both said they would like to stay with us.  Which will pretty much take up the beds.  But if anyone wants the floor, they are still welcome to it!

Hi everybody.  I'm not as creative as Terriann :) but I also have room for people during the reunion.  I have a king size bed in the guest room.  I also have at least 2 twin size beds (possibly more depending on what my kids do), a full size hide-a-bed, and lots of floor space.  We'd love to have anybody stay.  Just let us know!

Room for the Reunion

NO VACANCY
Natalee and Fred will be staying with us :)
I have no idea where anyone is planning on staying during the reunion but I have an extra bedroom and bathroom that I thought I'd make available for anyone that would like it.  We live in Fair Grove which is 35 minutes from the lodge, 30 minutes from Willard, and just 15 minutes from Springfield.  The location isn't ideal, but if you'd like your OWN bedroom and BATHROOM then by all means be our guest!

 Additional amenities include...
  • crib
  • twin size mattress (if you need it, otherwise we'll just leave it in Wes' room under his bed)
  • shuttle service to and from reunion ( I plan on going every day)
  •  OR garage code so you can come and go as you please
  • Free wireless internet
  • Laundry services on site
  • Exercise equipment (aka 1 Precore elliptical machine, some free weights, and a yoga matt)
  • Room Service (HA!  Just kidding, but the kitchen isn't far away just help yourself :)
If anyone needs a place to stay and would like to stay with us then just send me an e-mail so I will know you're coming!

The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles

As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice. None other has had so profound an influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth.

He was the Great Jehovah of the Old Testament, the Messiah of the New. Under the direction of His Father, He was the creator of the earth. “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3). Though sinless, He was baptized to fulfill all righteousness. He “went about doing good” (Acts 10:38), yet was despised for it. His gospel was a message of peace and goodwill. He entreated all to follow His example. He walked the roads of Palestine, healing the sick, causing the blind to see, and raising the dead. He taught the truths of eternity, the reality of our premortal existence, the purpose of our life on earth, and the potential for the sons and daughters of God in the life to come.

He instituted the sacrament as a reminder of His great atoning sacrifice. He was arrested and condemned on spurious charges, convicted to satisfy a mob, and sentenced to die on Calvary’s cross. He gave His life to atone for the sins of all mankind. His was a great vicarious gift in behalf of all who would ever live upon the earth.

We solemnly testify that His life, which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem nor concluded on Calvary. He was the Firstborn of the Father, the Only Begotten Son in the flesh, the Redeemer of the world.

He rose from the grave to “become the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20). As Risen Lord, He visited among those He had loved in life. He also ministered among His “other sheep” (John 10:16) in ancient America. In the modern world, He and His Father appeared to the boy Joseph Smith, ushering in the long-promised “dispensation of the fulness of times” (Ephesians 1:10).

Of the Living Christ, the Prophet Joseph wrote: “His eyes were as a flame of fire; the hair of his head was white like the pure snow; his countenance shone above the brightness of the sun; and his voice was as the sound of the rushing of great waters, even the voice of Jehovah, saying:

“I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father” (D&C 110:3–4).

Of Him the Prophet also declared: “And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!

“For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father—

“That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God” (D&C 76:22–24).

We declare in words of solemnity that His priesthood and His Church have been restored upon the earth—“built upon the foundation of … apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20).

We testify that He will someday return to earth. “And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together” (Isaiah 40:5). He will rule as King of Kings and reign as Lord of Lords, and every knee shall bend and every tongue shall speak in worship before Him. Each of us will stand to be judged of Him according to our works and the desires of our hearts.

We bear testimony, as His duly ordained Apostles—that Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son.

Surprise...

...Well Kindof. Most of you already know by now. I was waiting until Sunday to tell everyone (well those of you who live around here) at Family Dinner the big news but the word spread like wildfire! We're Pregnant!!!
We were able to go to the doctor the the other day and were surprised when they said that we would be having an ultra sound and would be able to hear the babies heart beat! It was so exciting! We are 9 1/2 weeks along, and are due at the end of August. (It is going to be a long summer I'm sure!)
Taylor leaves in April for Afghanistan but should be able to come home for two weeks when the baby is born. Let's just hope that I have the baby during the two weeks he is home!
We are both super excited to be parents! Here is the picture of our ultrasound! Whether or not you can see it very well, I'm not sure, but we just wanted to share!

We Love You,
Taylor and Rachelle

Brylee is almost 2 months old. We enjoy spending every second with her. Everyday she does something new. She loves to smile when we talk to her, she's our little princess. Bradly loves making her laugh, he cant wait to hold her when he comes home from school. We are happy to have her, she brings joy into our life. What a blessing she is to us. We love her. Here are some pictures of her. She's growing too fast for us.
