Dawson is hillarious!

I thought I would let you all hear the funny joke Dawson told the other day. He started it out by saying,..."There were three girls, a blonde, a red head, and a Vernet." We laughed forever, but I don't think he knew what was so funny.

And after family prayer the other night, Dawson says, "Group hug...except for Dad. You can't squeeze his tummy. He just got his "gobblers" out." He meant gall bladder,...it's funny what kids hear.

And Eric said it was Jimmy's birthday today, and I think Michelle is due today... Hooray for both of you! Love you all!

One Rockin Year

Emmitt has been around for a year I can not believe it he is getting so big, I dont mean to brag but I am getting some pretty good sized muscles from hauling him around. He is not walking yet but that does not stop him from getting in to everything. He is so much fun and is learning new things everyday we love and miss you all and hope to see you soon.

This Weekend

We Had a very busy and Fun weekend. We went to the Kansas City airshow and then we went bowling w/ the brady family...Addisyn loved the airplanes, she says they are very loud and to be quiet she is so fun! We love you all

Allie Mae Wilkins is Here

Ben and Mattie are happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Allie Mae Wilkins. She was born last night, August 25th at 6:49 pm. She weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces and measures 19 inches long. She is very cute -- lots of brown hair and pretty skin.

Mattie and Ben went to the hospital about midnight the night before. When they got there, Mattie was at a 4. She had an epidural and was able to relax for awhile until about 1-2pm when she was at an 8 and started feeling it. By the time she was at a 10, she was ready to push, but Allie wasn't ready -- she was still too high, so they had to wait awhile longer. Finally Allie was ready and at 6:49 she decide to come out.

We are so excited and happy for Ben and Mattie. They will be coming home probably tonight or tomorrow. For a couple more pictures, you can visit mabeljoy.blogspot.com

These are some pictures We took of addisyn yesterday in kansas city...she loves the water and even tho it was kinda cold she didnt want to get out of the fountains.

Good News / Bad News

The good news is that Shanell is unbroken and unscratched. The bad news is that her car is not! She got in an accident Sunday, went through a fence and a tree, rolled over 2 or 3 times before coming to rest on the driver's side. Her guardian angels were really watching over her. She was able to get out of the car and get some help. Weston was still home because he was going to a ward conference a little later in the afternoon. I'm pretty sure the car is totaled - I'm just glad Shanell isn't!!!

Isaac Jacob was born on July 29 2008 after a 16 hour labor he finally decided to come out weighing 8 lbs 12 oz.

Our 9 year Anniversary!!!

About 9 years, 20 minutes ago Linell and I were in the St. Louis Temple being sealed for time and all eternity. Yesterday we watched as Rachelle and Taylor were sealed in the same temple. I'm so excited to have a companion with me through this life journey. She has been an inspiration, an example, a teacher and a friend to me. There is nothing better then standing beside her and holding her hand. Her laughter is contagious and her smile never ceases. She is beautiful, kind and loving. She loves children beyond my comprehension. ( This manifests itself several times when I come home and there are 9 or more kids around the house.) She is forgiving and humble. She loves to beat me at any game possible and the new one she found that she likes to annihilate me at is Scrabble. She is a wonderful mother and I will be forever grateful to her. In short, I love her.
